FSW 67-Point Calculator

The Federal Skilled Worker program uses a six-factor selection grid worth up to 100 points. A score of 67 or higher meets the minimum threshold to be eligible.

1 Education max 25 pts
2 First official language max 24 pts

Enter your CLB level for each skill. If you are unsure, use the CLB Converter to find your level from IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF Canada scores.

3 Second official language max 4 pts

Optional. Only counts if you have a valid test result in the second language (English or French). Each skill at CLB 5 or above earns 1 point.

4 Work experience max 15 pts

Count only continuous, full-time paid work (or equivalent part-time) in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) within the past 10 years.

5 Age max 12 pts
6 Arranged employment in Canada max 10 pts

You must have a valid, LMIA-supported job offer or be exempt from needing one (e.g. current work permit holder in an eligible occupation).

+ Adaptability bonus, max 10 pts

Adaptability points are part of the official 100-point FSW grid and count toward your total. Any combination of the factors below is capped at 10.
